The rooms at Hotel Freixo Douro Superior are fantastic! They are air-conditioned, which was a lifesaver for me. The flat-screen TV and desk made it convenient to work and relax. The private bathroom with a bidet was a nice touch. I loved the balcony that had a beautiful view. It felt like a cozy home away from home.
I personally didn't care for the minibar in the double room. But hey, that's just me.

The hotel was modern and fairly clean and had a good location near the town. the breakfast was decent and the indoor pool was a nice addition.
Our Christmas stay at this hotel was underwhelming. the staff were apathetic at best, failing to give us any information about the area or the hotel amenities.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area in the north of Portugal, offering stunning views of the surrounding village. The premises were spotlessly clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay.- The staff at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
The receptionist may have seemed a bit unfriendly initially, but their attitude improved significantly after the check-in process. The plastic sheet covering the mattress was a bit thick and could be uncomfortable for some guests.

Spent Christmas here and had a great time. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The indoor and outdoor pools were fantastic and added to the overall experience. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
The language barrier was an issue as some receptionists did not speak English. This made it difficult to get information about the restaurant.
